Cataract Surgery
The accommodating and multi-focal implants improve both distant and near vision. With these implants, patients can function 90% of the time without glasses.
We offer the accommodating implant, Crystalens, and the multi-focal implant both resume and restore.
The multifocal implants improve both distance and near vision. With this implant 90% of patients no longer need glasses at all. We offer both REZOOM and RESTOR multifocal implants at this time.
LASIK (Laser Assisted in-Situ Keratomileusis)
This procedure involves making a thin flap with either a laser or microkeratome. An Excimer laser then reshapes the surface of the cornea. The procedure takes 10-15 minutes. Vision improvement occurs quickly and gradually improves for several days.
PRK (Photorefractive keratectomy)
This procedure involve removing a thin surface layer of tissue and then reshaping the cornea with an Excimer laser. The surface layer grows back over a 3 to 5 day period. During these first few days the vision will remain blurry. Usually vision improvement will occur between 1 to 2 weeks after the procedure.
